Originally not part of the toy line's development, Orko was conceived by Filmation to inject humor into the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon. After the show's popularity skyrocketed, he received his own action figure and has since remained an integral figure in the franchise. Unfortunately, he did not make it into the 1987 movie due to budget limitations and the technical difficulties of creating a convincing CGI or puppet version of him at that time.

Directed by Travis Knight, this new MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE film promises to revive the legendary franchise for a new generation. The story follows Prince Adam, played by Nicholas Galitzine, who is reunited with the Sword of Power after 15 years. He returns to a devastated Eternia, now under the tyrannical rule of Skeletor, portrayed by Jared Leto.
To rescue his family and restore order to his world, Adam must team up with his allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), embracing his true calling as He-Man—the most powerful hero in the universe.
